During the international break, several Algerian national team players sustained injuries during a 2-2 draw against Burundi in a CAN 2027 qualifier. 

Midfielder Adem Zorgane was released from the squad to undergo rehabilitation with Union Saint-Gilloise. Olympique de Marseille midfielder Himad Abdelli also suffered a left ankle injury and was initially seen using crutches. 

Following the initial reports, Abdelli has progressed in his recovery, moving from using crutches to participating in collective training sessions ahead of Marseille’s upcoming league fixtures.
