Sources: 8. Developments: 2. Taoyuan mayoral candidate Huang Shih-chieh has faced a series of political allegations during his campaign. Initially, the Taiwan People's Party alleged election bribery, claiming an event organized by the Taoyuan Management Office of the Taiwan Water Resources Agency was used to campaign for Huang by providing meals and egg gift boxes valued at 300 TWD to attendees. A spokesperson for Huang denied these claims, stating the candidate did not distribute the gift boxes and that the agency's event was a long-standing local activity. Subsequently, Kuomintang lawmakers and Taoyuan City Councilors accused Huang of receiving preferential treatment regarding land use. The allegations involve the use of approximately 1,655 ping of public land managed by the Water Resources Agency for his campaign headquarters in Zhongli District. Critics argued the rental cost was suspiciously low and that the land was not subject to a proper public bidding process. Huang denied these accusations, characterizing them as “malicious rumors” and asserting that all legal procedures and approvals were completed through the relevant authorities. ## Timeline ### 2026-10-12: Huang Shih-chieh faces allegations of preferential land use KMT politicians have accused DPP Taoyuan mayoral candidate Huang Shih-chieh of receiving preferential land lease terms for his campaign headquarters, a charge Huang denies as malicious rumors. 3 sources. https://clstr.news/cluster/huang-shih-chieh-faces-allegations-of-preferential-land-use ### 2026-10-02: Taiwan People's Party alleges election bribery involving Huang Shih-chieh The Taiwan People's Party accused a water resources agency of using public funds and egg gift boxes to campaign for Taoyuan mayoral candidate Huang Shih-chieh, who denies the claims. 5 sources. https://clstr.news/cluster/taiwan-peoples-party-alleges-election-bribery-involving-huang-shih-chieh --- Cite as: Allegations against Huang Shih-chieh in Taoyuan.
