The dispute reportedly began during Bhima Amavasya celebrations when Aishwarya attempted to enter the sanctum sanctorum via a VIP queue. When sub-inspector Savitha B. Police Patil requested she wait due to crowds, an argument ensued. The officer alleged that Aishwarya used abusive language and struck her on the head after identifying herself as an MLA’s daughter. Charges filed include assaulting a public servant, causing simple hurt, intentional insult, and criminal intimidation under the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita.

MLA B Suresh Gowda issued a public apology, stating that while his daughter may have lost patience, such behavior is inappropriate, and that anyone at fault must face legal action. Aishwarya has filed a counter-complaint alleging the officer abused her during the argument. CCTV footage has since surfaced showing the physical altercation at the Arathi Ukkada temple in Srirangapatna.

Reports also indicated a separate incident in Bengaluru where Traffic Sub-Inspector Nayana was reportedly manhandled and body-shamed by Hemanth Reddy, who identified himself as a lawyer, and three others. The complaint noted threats to circulate unauthorized media of the officer on social media.
