Developments: 5. Greek television network Alpha TV is launching new drama series for its October prime time season. One featured production, ‘Mia Gynaika’ (A Woman), premiered on October 7. The series follows a woman named Marina as she navigates financial hardship and isolation following the death of her husband and a flood in Piraeus. As the series progresses, upcoming episodes scheduled for October 14 and 15 involve intensifying plot developments. Marina faces mounting personal and financial pressures, including unsuccessful attempts to claim compensation for house damage and the necessity of seeking a third job. Additionally, a robbery at Marina’s home results in the theft of money entrusted to her by Betty. Other character arcs include Eva’s struggles with guilt and addiction, her decision to leave photography school, and her secretive interactions with Chara. Meanwhile, Elisavet manages Eva’s crises, and Kostis faces concerns regarding illegal gambling activities occurring in his tailor shop. In addition to ‘Mia Gynaika’, Alpha TV premiered ‘Oi kores tis Aretis’ (The Daughters of Areti) on October 5. The network is also preparing to premiere the romantic drama ‘Για Σένα’ (For You) during the final week of October in the 20:00 time slot. The production for ‘Για Σένα’ reportedly faced filming delays and required re-filming after a lead actress departed. The series follows Philippos, a businessman whose perception of his stable life and twenty-year marriage to Leda is threatened by a hidden truth, while intersecting with the story of Melina, an independent woman working in a flower shop. These programming shifts are part of a broader strategic effort by Greek broadcasters, including ANT1 and Mega, to manage competition and capture viewership during the new television season. ## Timeline ### 2026-10-14: Alpha TV to premiere new drama series “Για Σένα” Alpha TV will premiere the romantic drama series “Για Σένα” in late October, following production delays caused by cast changes.
