Altamira Mayor Armando Martínez Manríquez has been active in promoting the municipality’s economic and cultural assets. During the inauguration of Feria Tamaulipas 2026, the mayor participated in an event intended to showcase local artisanal products, investment opportunities, and regional traditions to strengthen economic activity.

Following his reelection for the 2024-2027 term, Martínez Manríquez is also navigating future political prospects. While constitutional limits prevent him from seeking further municipal reelection, his management of the industrial and port hub has led to speculation regarding potential roles within the Morena party, including possible participation in internal processes for district coordination.
