Nigeria is hosting several significant golf events focused on amateur and junior development. The Ikoyi Club 1938 in Lagos is scheduled to host the 65th FirstBank Lagos Amateur Open Golf Championship this November. This tournament is recognized by the World Amateur Golf Ranking (WAGR) and attracts participants from Africa and other international regions.

In addition to the Lagos Amateur Open, the Ikoyi Club 1938 will host the 51st Ikoyi Ladies Open, which aims to elevate local female golfers to international standards. Furthermore, the Faldo GolfView Junior Golf Championship 2026 recently concluded at the Ikeja Golf Club.
