Sources: 23. Developments: 3. Amazfit has expanded the availability of the T-Rex Dual Solar, a rugged outdoor smartwatch featuring a unique dual-panel solar charging system. Following its European launch, the device is now available on Chinese e-commerce platforms, priced at 4,499 yuan. The smartwatch is the first AMOLED model to utilize two solar panels: one integrated into its 1.32-inch AMOLED display and a second, larger ceramic glass panel on the back. This design allows for energy capture both while worn and when the device is placed face-down in sunlight. The display features a peak brightness of 3,000 nits for enhanced outdoor visibility. Battery performance varies based on light exposure. Under typical usage, the watch lasts approximately 25 days. With three hours of daily exposure to 50,000 lux, the front-side solar exposure can extend life to 34 days, while the rear panel can extend it to 51 days. In a specialized ‘Outdoor Extreme’ mode with reduced GPS frequency, the device can theoretically provide up to 180 days of autonomy. Built for durability, the watch includes a titanium grade 5 bezel, sapphire crystal glass, and 10 ATM water resistance. It is designed to operate in temperatures between -30°C and 70°C and features built-in offline topographic maps, path planning, navigation via six satellite systems, and an integrated LED flashlight. ## Timeline ### 2026-10-05: Amazfit launches T-Rex Dual Solar smartwatch with dual-sided solar charging Amazfit has released the T-Rex Dual Solar smartwatch in China, featuring a dual-sided solar charging system that can extend battery life up to 51 days for outdoor enthusiasts. 3 sources. https://clstr.news/cluster/amazfit-launches-t-rex-dual-solar-smartwatch-with-dual-sided-solar-charging-1 ### 2026-09-23: Amazfit launches T-Rex Dual Solar smartwatch with dual-sided solar charging Amazfit has launched the T-Rex Dual Solar, an AMOLED smartwatch featuring dual-sided solar charging for extended battery life of up to 51 days in standard use or 180 days in extreme modes. 9 sources. https://clstr.news/cluster/amazfit-launches-t-rex-dual-solar-smartwatch-with-dual-sided-solar-charging ### 2026-09-21: Amazfit unveils T-Rex Dual Solar smartwatch with dual solar panels Amazfit has unveiled the T-Rex Dual Solar, an outdoor smartwatch featuring two solar panels to extend battery life up to 180 days in extreme modes.
