Actress Ambra Angiolini is set to debut as a director with the theatrical production ‘La misteriosa scomparsa di W’, based on a monologue by Stefano Benni. The play explores themes of war, immigration, and identity loss through a protagonist who feels incomplete after losing key parts of herself.

The production is described as a tragicomic and immersive experience that incorporates original musical compositions by Dario Faini (Dardust) and visual elements from ‘Cracking Art’ to examine the relationship between nature and artifice.

Following initial announcements regarding performances in Bologna at the Teatro Duse, the production is scheduled to open the Amat season at the Teatro Ventidio Basso on October 10, in collaboration with Teatro Carcano Milano. Additionally, Angiolini is set to lead the production at the Teatro Comunale di Casalmaggiore on October 21.
