Amin Chiakha, a 20-year-old striker playing for Rosenborg BK, has re-entered the Algerian national team during a period of squad transition following the retirements of veterans such as Riyad Mahrez and Aïssa Mandi.

Initially called up for the 2027 Africa Cup of Nations qualifiers against Zambia, Chiakha subsequently saw increased playing time under coach Brahim Hemdani. His international involvement included matches against Burundi, Zambia, and Niger. Although he did not score during this period, Chiakha expressed satisfaction with the experience of playing within a “young, transitioning squad.”

Alongside his international duties, Chiakha has maintained a strong domestic performance in Norway’s Eliteserien, remaining a contender for the league's top scorer title.
