Veteran Indian actor Amitabh Bachchan has commented on the linguistic and cultural differences between his generation and Generation Z.

Initially, Bachchan humorously shared his difficulties decoding modern slang during an episode of the quiz show Kaun Banega Crorepati. He noted his tendency to interpret phrases like ‘rocking’ and ‘killing it’ literally, expressing confusion over why people would use such terms in conversation. He has since expressed admiration for the younger generation’s outlook, noting that Gen Z tends to view life as something to be experienced rather than waiting for perfection.

During Season 18 of Kaun Banega Crorepati, Bachchan continued these light-hearted exchanges. After contestant Aarya Sahani provided a lesson on Gen Z vocabulary, including the term ‘clock it’, the actor remarked that he hoped to use such language to communicate with his grandchildren.

In other segments, Bachchan engaged with contestants regarding his personal life and family. When asked about his connection to West Bengal through his wife, Jaya Bachchan, he humorously responded to questions about his in-laws, choosing ‘Sasumaa’ (mother-in-law) when asked to pick between his father-in-law and mother-in-law.
