These updated models are designed to play original Super Nintendo, Super Famicom, Mega Drive, and Genesis cartridges on modern televisions using Altera Cyclone V FPGA technology to replicate original hardware logic without software emulation. The new versions include hardware and usability upgrades such as USB-C power delivery, a USB-A port for peripherals or DAC connections, and integrated wireless support via Bluetooth and 2.4GHz. The consoles also feature 1080p HDMI output, a redesigned chassis, and the ability to perform hot-swapping of cartridges via the system menu without a full reboot. The Super Nt+ is compatible with over 2,200 titles, while the Mega Sg+ supports more than 2,180 titles, with additional compatibility for Master System and Game Gear via adapters. Both systems support PAL and NTSC regional variants. Each unit is priced at $219.99, with pre-orders scheduled to begin on October 19, 2026, and shipping expected to start in December 2026. ## Timeline ### 2026-10-18: Analogue announces Super Nt+ and Mega Sg+ retro consoles Analogue is relaunching its Super Nt+ and Mega Sg+ consoles, using FPGA technology to play original SNES and Mega Drive cartridges with modern features like Bluetooth and USB-C. 6 sources. https://clstr.news/cluster/analogue-announces-super-nt-and-mega-sg-retro-consoles ### 2026-10-16: Analogue announces Super Nt+ and Mega Sg+ retro consoles Analogue is relaunching its Super Nt+ and Mega Sg+ retro consoles, featuring FPGA technology, USB-C, and wireless controller support for original Nintendo and Sega cartridges. 12 sources. https://clstr.news/cluster/analogue-announces-super-nt-plus-and-mega-sg-plus-consoles --- Cite as: Analogue retro console product announcement.
