The Maritime-Marine Cluster of Andalusia (CMMA) has introduced the ‘Impulsando el Azul’ (Boosting the Blue) roadmap for 2026–2030, led by re-elected president Javier Noriega Hernández. This roadmap aims to connect the maritime industry with academia and the environment through seven strategic priorities, including the potential creation of a dedicated Blue Economy department within the Junta de Andalucía. Complementing these strategic goals, the Regional Government is investing in infrastructure to enhance resource management. This includes the development of the Andalusian Center for Control and Quality of Fishery Resources (CACCRP) in Cartaya, Huelva. With an initial investment of approximately one million euros, the facility will serve as a coordination hub for inspecting, monitoring, and controlling fishery activities and vessel positioning along the Andalusian coastline. The center is expected to be operational following the completion of construction in early 2027. ## Timeline ### 2026-09-26: Andalusia to establish fishery control center in Cartaya Andalusia is establishing a new fishery control center in Cartaya, Huelva, to monitor and inspect fishing activities and resources across its coastline by 2027. 4 sources. https://clstr.news/cluster/andalusia-to-establish-fishery-control-center-in-cartaya ### 2026-09-23: Andalusia launches maritime roadmap to boost blue economy The Maritime-Marine Cluster of Andalusia has launched its 2026-2030 roadmap to boost the regional blue economy, focusing on innovation, job creation, and strategic port development. 4 sources. https://clstr.news/cluster/andalusia-launches-maritime-roadmap-to-boost-blue-economy --- Cite as: Andalusia maritime and blue economy development.
