Higher education admission processes in Andhra Pradesh have seen various developments regarding seat allotments and counseling schedules.

In the AP EAPCET-2026 counseling, the final phase for the MPC stream resulted in 3,141 fresh admissions. While many engineering seats were filled across university and private colleges, a significant number of Convener quota seats remained vacant. For the BiPC stream, the seat allotment schedule was rescheduled, with results expected following the option entry period.

Concurrently, the Andhra Pradesh State Council of Higher Education (APSCHE) delayed the release of the AP PGCET 2026 Phase 1 seat allotments. Although results were anticipated by September 22, the allotment status remained unavailable on the official portal as of September 23, leading to student frustration regarding the lack of official updates.

Following these delays, APSCHE released updated counseling schedules for several professional courses. For AP PGECET MTech and MPharmacy admissions, the deadline for web option submission is October 4, 2026, with seat allotment results scheduled for release on October 9. In this first phase, APSCHE prioritizes GATE candidates for MTech and GPAT candidates for MPharmacy before considering AP PGECET qualified candidates. Candidates for these programs may edit preferences on October 5, with self-reporting and physical reporting scheduled for October 10 through October 14.

Regarding AP LAWCET and AP PGLCET, Phase 1 seat allotments are expected on October 6, 2026. Successful candidates must complete self-reporting and college reporting between October 7 and October 9, 2026.
