Romanian defender Andrei Coubiș has transitioned to English football following a transfer from U Cluj to Lincoln City. In early September, Coubiș earned man of the match honors during his first league start in a 1-1 draw against Southampton in the Championship.

By October, reports indicated that his former club, Universitatea Cluj, is nearing a €150,000 bonus related to his transfer. This payment is contingent on a clause in his initial €3 million transfer agreement, which grants U Cluj an additional 5% if Coubiș meets specific playing time milestones with the Romanian national team. Having already appeared in three matches for Romania, Coubiș is expected to trigger the bonus through upcoming international fixtures.
