Animal adoption efforts in Cuiabá have seen significant activity through municipal initiatives. An adoption fair held at a local supermarket facilitated the placement of eight animals, including five dogs and three cats, while providing guidance on responsible ownership to approximately 100 attendees.

Following these efforts, the Cuiabá City Hall reported a historic milestone for the period between August and September. During this time, 35 animals were adopted, a figure that exceeded the 15 animals rescued and brought to the municipal kennel. Officials attributed this trend to enhanced adoption campaigns and increased community involvement, noting that the municipal kennel is being utilized as a starting point for animal resocialization.
