In Erzurum, authorities detained a suspect following an incident at the Adalar Mosque where security footage captured an individual kicking a cat. The animal was seen flying through the air and striking an imam's head. The Erzurum Chief Public Prosecutor's Office launched an investigation under the Animal Protection Law, though the cat's condition and whereabouts remained unknown following the event.

In a separate incident in Istanbul's Küçükçekmece district, a house cat named Mucize reportedly prevented a theft attempt by four women. Security footage indicated the suspects attempted to enter a residence on the 12th floor, where the cat defended the entrance for approximately 45 minutes using paw strikes. Despite attempts by the intruders to kick the animal, they were unable to enter the home and eventually fled.
