In London, a campaign lead for Animal Rising spent 21 days inside a pig farrowing crate in Trafalgar Square to pressure the government to end factory farming by 2040. Additionally, activists faced trial in Norwich for the theft of lambs from the King’s Sandringham estate, an act intended to “open his eyes” to sheep farming and slaughterhouse conditions. In the Czech Republic, protesters occupied a pig farm in Markvartice to highlight the use of restrictive farrowing cages. During the occupation, activists displayed banners stating “Legal does not mean moral.” The two-hour standoff resulted in police removing 24 individuals from the facility.
