Historic hotels near Tokyo Station have recently marked significant milestones. The Marunouchi Hotel, established in 1924 following the Great Kanto Earthquake, celebrated its 100th anniversary. The establishment is noted for its cylindrical architecture and its history of serving British Commonwealth officers during the post-war occupation.

Separately, the Tokyo Station Hotel, located within the Marunouchi station building, marked its 111th anniversary on November 2, 2026. The hotel is housed in a structure designated as a national important cultural property. To commemorate the occasion, the hotel introduced guided tours highlighting its architectural design and history, and launched the “Tokyo Station Hotel Forest” initiative in Iwate Prefecture to support environmental sustainability.
