The report questioned the authenticity of Kila’s bachelor’s, master’s, and doctoral degrees, as well as his professorial title. In response to these allegations, ARISE News indefinitely suspended Kila from all its platforms, stating he failed to respond to inquiries within a ten-day window. Additionally, Michael and Cecilia Ibru University has requested that Kila step aside pending an investigation into his professorial status, while Nigeria’s Independent Corrupt Practices and Other Related Offences Commission (ICPC) has launched an investigation into the matter.
