Brazil’s National Health Surveillance Agency (Anvisa) ordered the seizure of two irregular batches of the multiple sclerosis medication Ocrevus (ocrelizumab) 300 mg/10 ml, identified as H7953B14 and H7953B06.

Although the medication is registered in Brazil, these specific batches were intended for other countries and entered the country irregularly. Anvisa stated that because of this irregular entry, the agency cannot guarantee that necessary sanitary conditions were maintained to ensure the integrity of the medicine during distribution.

The batches were distributed by Laf Med Distribuidora de Medicamentos e Materiais Hospitalares Ltda, a company whose operating authorization has been inactive since October 2025. Anvisa has prohibited the storage, sale, distribution, export, import, advertising, and transport of these specific lots. The agency clarified that this measure is not a general ban on the Ocrevus medication.
