Apple and Dolby Laboratories announced a partnership to integrate Dolby Atmos spatial audio into live Formula 1 coverage on Apple TV. This enhancement, designed to provide an immersive experience through sounds like engine roars and pit lane activity, was scheduled to debut during the U.S. Grand Prix weekend in Austin, Texas.

By late October, Formula 1 streaming on Apple TV was identified as a top program in the September 2026 Looper Insights Streamer of the Month Report, ranking as a leading entertainment program across major connected-TV devices in the United States. The rollout of Dolby Atmos support coincided with the United States Grand Prix, accompanied by a live screening event hosted by Apple at its Domain NORTHSIDE store in Austin.
