Apple TV has released the trailer and key art for ‘Nocturne’, a new 10-episode crime thriller series based on the bestselling novels by Lars Kepler, including ‘The Sandman’ and ‘Lazarus’. The series stars Liev Schreiber as Jonah Lynn, a former soldier turned homicide detective who moves from Philadelphia to a small town in western Pennsylvania seeking a quieter life. His peace is disrupted when the cunning and manipulative serial killer Jurek Walter, played by Stephen Graham, targets the community and Lynn’s family. The plot follows Lynn as he enlists his adoptive daughter, FBI Agent Saga Bauer (played by Zazie Beetz), to help track the killer and locate a missing victim. The investigation is set in motion by the sudden return of a boy who had been missing for three years, sparking a search for his sister. The production features a cast including Bill Camp, Rory Culkin, Chrissy Metz, Poorna Jagannathan, and Gary Carr. The series was created by Rowan Joffe and developed by John Hlavin, who serves as co-showrunner alongside Joffe. It is produced by A+E Studios in association with Range Studios. Scheduled to premiere globally on October 30, 2026, the release strategy includes the first two episodes available simultaneously, followed by weekly releases every Friday through December 25. ## Timeline ### 2026-10-26: Apple TV premieres crime thriller series Nocturne Apple TV has premiered Nocturne, a 10-episode crime thriller starring Liev Schreiber, Stephen Graham, and Zazie Beetz, based on the novels by Lars Kepler. 5 sources. https://clstr.news/cluster/apple-tv-releases-thriller-series-nocturne ### 2026-10-04: Apple TV releases trailer for thriller series Nocturne Apple TV released a trailer for ‘Nocturne’, a new ten-part thriller series starring Liev Schreiber, based on the bestselling crime novels by Lars Kepler. 6 sources. https://clstr.news/cluster/apple-tv-releases-trailer-for-thriller-series-nocturne ### 2026-09-29: Apple TV releases trailer for crime thriller Nocturne Apple TV has unveiled the trailer for ‘Nocturne’, a 10-episode crime thriller starring Liev Schreiber, Zazie Beetz, and Stephen Graham, premiering October 30, 2026. 30 sources. https://clstr.news/cluster/apple-tv-announces-premiere-of-crime-drama-nocturne --- Cite as: Apple TV Nocturne series release.
