Embark Studios continued refining ARC Raiders in July 2026. After the July 7 1.36.0 patch that separated solo, duo and trio matchmaking and rolled out Denuvo anti‑cheat, and the July 21 1.38.0 store update that tweaked the matchmaking algorithm, the July 28 1.39.0 patch introduced a defensive PvP model. This change excludes self‑defence actions from a squad’s play‑style rating, counting only the team that initiates combat, while preserving the earlier solo/duo/trio tracking. The update also fixed inconsistent damage on Seeker and Wolfpack grenades, addressed map and UI bugs, improved audio cues, corrected cosmetic glitches, and added a new Dweller Outfit to the store. The ARC Raiders × THE FINALS crossover remained active through 30 July. Embark said it will assess player feedback before making the defensive matchmaking alteration permanent.
