Arc System Works has released a new survivor-like action title on Apple Arcade. The game, titled ‘Kunio-kun Survivors of the Dead’ (also referred to as ‘River City Survivors: Downtown of the Dead’), features characters from the Kunio-kun and River City franchises battling zombie hordes.

Gameplay mechanics include an ‘Explosive Growth’ system where leveling up provides randomized upgrades, such as skill attacks and stat boosts. Players can utilize over 20 characters, including staples like Kunio and Riki, and may bring up to two AI-controlled companions into battle. Progression is supported by a six-slot equipment system and daily rewards to assist with character and gear evolution.
