Recent archaeological excavations across Spain have uncovered diverse historical sites spanning several millennia. In Soria, researchers are studying the Villa Romana de La Dehesa, a large Roman imperial residence featuring geometric mosaics, and the Roman mansio of Augustóbriga. In Cantabria, new findings at the La Garma site have provided detailed insights into Upper Paleolithic life.

Archaeologists have uncovered an exceptionally well-preserved dwelling that remained sealed for approximately 16,800 years due to a natural rockfall at the end of the last glaciation. This site has yielded over 4,600 artifacts, including roughly 600 flint tools, needles, projectile points, and a precursor to the harpoon, alongside biological remains from deer, horses, and bison. The dwelling is described as a small, oval-shaped structure of about five square meters where inhabitants used limestone blocks and stalagmites to secure a framework of sticks and skins against a rock ledge. A central hearth was also identified at the site.

Further findings include the ruins of the Bargota monastery in Navarra, a site linked to the Order of Saint John and the Camino de Santiago pilgrimage route. Additionally, excavations in Mallorca at the Son Mas des Potecari site have identified a 3,000-year-old stone ring surrounding a Talayotic period tumulus, with evidence of subsequent occupation during the Andalusi era.
