Archie McDonald, a 20-year-old Australian racer riding for Joe Rascal Racing, secured the inaugural FIM Harley-Davidson Bagger World Cup championship. The title was clinched at the Red Bull Ring in Austria, where McDonald finished eighth in the final race, totaling 202 points for the season.

McDonald narrowly defeated Oscar Gutiérrez of Niti Racing, who finished with 193 points, and Eric Granado, who ended in third place with 192 points. While Granado won the final race at the Red Bull Ring, McDonald’s consistent performance across 12 races in the United States, Italy, the Netherlands, Great Britain, Aragon, and Austria earned him the championship. McDonald achieved seven podium finishes throughout the season.

During the celebrations in Spielberg, Austria, McDonald reflected on the personal challenges faced during the season, noting that his brother, Toby, died by suicide shortly after the inaugural race in the United States. McDonald dedicated his championship to his late brother, describing the season as deeply emotional while navigating profound grief.
