In Argentina, various initiatives are being undertaken to preserve the memory of victims of the military dictatorship through public signage, commemorative acts, and educational programs.

At the Regimiento de Concordia, a new memorial sign has been reinstalled to mark the location as a ‘Site of Memory’. The site served as a clandestine detention center during the country’s last civic-military dictatorship. Through the ‘Echeverría Construye Memoria’ program, students visited several local sites, including the Monte Grande massacre site in Luis Guillón, the Plaza de la Memoria, the 1st Police Station in Monte Grande, and the former clandestine detention center ‘La 205’. These tours, facilitated by COPRET, aim to commemorate the 50th anniversary of ‘La Noche de los Lápices’ and educate younger generations.
