Cycling events in Argentina have featured various gravel competitions. At the Gran Fondo Buenos Aires held at Parque Sarmiento, Sergio Churruca placed tenth in the general Gravel category. The event included a 129-kilometer course and was held under cold and windy conditions.

Subsequently, the Argentine Gravel Championship was held in Sierra de los Padres as part of the Mar del Plata BIKEFEST. Due to mud on rural roads and trails, the original 81-kilometer course was modified to a 72-kilometer circuit consisting of four laps. In the Master A category, Abdías Lescano secured third place.
