The Argentine judicial system has undergone significant administrative and procedural developments. In August, the Senate's Commission of Agreements completed a five-day review of 67 judicial nominations for various positions within the Judiciary and the Public Ministry. This review, part of a government effort to fill approximately 300 vacancies, included candidates for federal appellate courts, prosecutors, and judges across several regions, including Córdoba, Salta, and the Federal Capital.

By September, the judiciary was managing several high-profile legal proceedings. These included investigations into the disappearance of 8,000 federal cases during a judicial IT system transition and a Chubut sexual abuse case where an acquittal was revoked.

Recent rulings from the Supreme Court and federal courts have addressed several high-profile political and financial investigations. The Supreme Court rejected a request by former President Cristina Kirchner to reopen an investigation into Federico Sturzenegger concerning the management of ‘dólar futuro’ contracts during the Macri administration, dismissing the appeal as inadmissible under article 280 of the Procedural Code.

In the $LIBRA cryptocurrency investigation, the Federal Criminal and Correctional Court No. 8 rejected a request by deputies Mónica Frade and Maximiliano Ferraro to act as complainants, ruling that their parliamentary functions did not meet the requirement of ‘personal harm’ necessary for legal standing. Furthermore, the Federal Chamber confirmed the dismissal of a case against Luis Caputo regarding an offshore account and his role as an indirect owner of the company Noctua, determining there was no evidence of criminal intent to the detriment of the public administration.
