However, tensions have escalated as the CGT intensifies opposition to the administration of Javier Milei. CGT co-leader Cristian Jerónimo reported that 380,000 jobs have been lost, warning that continuous company closures are reducing formal employment. The union is currently deliberating on a potential fifth general strike and has planned mobilizations, including a protest against the Ministry of Economy regarding citizen debt and a September 2 mobilization to protest declining industrial activity.
