Argentine President Javier Milei has recently engaged with social media trends through both artificial and real-world interactions.

Initially, a hyper-realistic AI-generated video of Milei went viral on platforms such as TikTok, X, and Instagram. In the deepfake, the president used his characteristic rhetorical style to ironically adopt the term ‘facha’ while defending policies related to inflation, fiscal deficits, and private property.

Following this, Milei performed a real-world interaction at the Casa Rosada. Alongside cabinet members, including Karina Milei and Sandra Pettovello, the president performed the ‘six seven’ hand gesture toward students in Plaza de Mayo. This gesture, which originated from TikTok trends and basketball culture, marked a public display of engagement with internet memes.
