In an interview with The Sunday Times, Emanuel addressed the end of their professional relationship, stating, “Here’s the great thing: I don’t have to think about that anymore,” when asked about the future direction of her career. While Emanuel has stepped away from her personal representation, WME has maintained that the agency continues to represent both Meghan and her company, Archewell. Reports indicate that Emanuel’s direct involvement lasted approximately three months before he and fellow agent Brad Slater stepped away from her account. Meghan originally signed with WME in April 2023 to develop production projects and commercial brand partnerships. While the specific reasons for the split between Emanuel and the Duchess have not been officially disclosed, industry insiders suggested the relationship may have soured due to disagreements regarding project planning and expectations. ## Timeline ### 2026-10-01: Ari Emanuel comments on former client Meghan Markle Former agent Ari Emanuel commented on Meghan Markle’s career direction during a recent interview, noting he no longer has to manage the question following their brief professional partnership. 5 sources. https://clstr.news/cluster/ari-emanuel-comments-on-former-client-meghan-markle ### 2026-09-29: Ari Emanuel confirms he no longer represents Meghan Markle Hollywood agent Ari Emanuel confirmed he no longer personally represents Meghan, Duchess of Sussex, telling The Sunday Times that he no longer has to think about her career direction. 15 sources. https://clstr.news/cluster/ari-emanuel-confirms-wme-group-no-longer-represents-meghan-markle --- Cite as: Ari Emanuel and Meghan Markle professional split.
