Aris BC has officially signed Thanasis Antetokounmpo to a “2+1” year contract. The 34-year-old forward returns to Greece after seven years, most recently playing in the NBA with the Milwaukee Bucks, where he won a championship in 2021. Antetokounmpo, who has previously played for the New York Knicks, Andorra, and Panathinaikos, joins the Thessaloniki-based club as part of a new administrative and competitive project managed by Vassilis Spanoulis and bolstered by billionaire investor Richard Hsiao.

This signing reunites Thanasis with his brother, Kostas Antetokounmpo, who also signed with Aris earlier this offseason. While the move brings the brothers together in Greece, NBA superstar Giannis Antetokounmpo, who acknowledged the transfer on social media, has recently moved to the Miami Heat, placing him on a different side of the Atlantic.
