Sources: 14. Developments: 2. The Armada Rijeka supporters group announced an organized boycott of the HNK Rijeka vs. Varaždin match scheduled for November 1. The group cited dissatisfaction with the Croatian Football Federation (HNS) for scheduling the game on All Saints' Day, a national holiday traditionally spent honoring the deceased at cemeteries. Armada accused the HNS of prioritizing marketing over fan traditions and family obligations, noting a pattern of inconvenient match timings. The protest also drew criticism from the Croatian War Veterans Association (UHBDR91), which described the scheduling as a lack of respect for social values. During the match, while individual fans attended, the organized support from Armada was absent. Instead, the group displayed a banner criticizing the HNS for the scheduling and highlighting previous instances of matches being held on workdays. In a related development on the same day, the club NK Bibinje also refused to play its scheduled match against NK Debeljak in the Zadar County First League, citing the same need for respect regarding the holiday and its cultural significance. ## Timeline ### 2026-10-31: Armada Rijeka protests match scheduling on All Saints Day Rijeka supporters group Armada protested the scheduling of a match on All Saints Day, displaying a banner to criticize the HNS for prioritizing marketing over religious and cultural traditions. 8 sources. https://clstr.news/cluster/armada-rijeka-supporters-boycott-match-over-scheduling ### 2026-10-28: Armada Rijeka announces organized boycott of match on All Saints' Day Armada Rijeka will not provide organized support for the Rijeka vs. Varaždin match on November 1, protesting the HNS decision to schedule the game on the All Saints' Day holiday. 8 sources. https://clstr.news/cluster/armada-rijeka-fans-to-skip-hnk-rijeka-match-due-to-all-saints-day --- Cite as: Armada Rijeka protest against match scheduling.
