On August 9, 2026, three masked gunmen conducted an armed robbery at the Megamarket supermarket in Budva, Montenegro. The perpetrators entered through a warehouse side and threatened a female manager and two employees with a handgun. The suspects forced the manager to hand over approximately 320,000 euros from a safe, an amount representing the market’s turnover from the preceding two days. 

No employees were physically injured during the encounter. Following the theft, the suspects fled in an unknown direction. Local police initiated an intensive search and notified the High State Prosecutor’s Office in Podgorica to identify and locate the individuals involved.
