Sources: 13. Developments: 2. Spanish flamenco dancer Rafael Amargo and his partner, Luciana Bongianino, have been released on provisional liberty following a violent incident at their residence in Madrid’s Carabanchel district. The altercation began early Saturday morning when a 38-year-old man allegedly broke into the home by smashing a glass door. The ensuing chaos, which prompted alerts from neighbors, escalated into a physical confrontation involving the intruder, the occupants, and responding National Police officers. Amargo faces charges of attacking an authority figure and causing injuries after reportedly biting a policeman’s left arm during the intervention. Bongianino remains under investigation for alleged injuries. The intruder was detained on charges of trespassing, threats, and property damage. During his court appearance, Amargo reportedly appeared visibly nervous and acted discourteously toward the judge and prosecutor. His lawyer, Marcos García Ortega, apologized for his client’s behavior, attributing the conduct to the “psychological shock and stress” caused by the home invasion. ## Timeline ### 2026-10-10: Rafael Amargo and partner released after violent Madrid home altercation Dancer Rafael Amargo and partner Luciana Bongianino have been released on provisional liberty following a violent home invasion and altercation in Madrid involving police. 11 sources. https://clstr.news/cluster/rafael-amargo-arrested-following-violent-confrontation-in-madrid ### 2026-09-20: Rafael Amargo mourns the death of his father, Florentino García Martín Flamenco dancer Rafael Amargo has bid an emotional farewell to his father, Florentino García Martín, following his death after a period of ill health.
