Arsenal has been integrating academy players into first-team training and match preparations. In October 2026, defender Josh Ogunnaike participated in training ahead of a UEFA Champions League fixture against Bayern Munich, though winger James Scanlon was ruled ineligible for European competition due to UEFA registration requirements.

Following these preparations, 18-year-old Ceadach O’Neill is expected to make his senior debut during a Carabao Cup match against Fleetwood Town. O’Neill, a Northern Ireland international, is anticipated to feature alongside other young talents such as Max Dowman and Marli Salmon.
