Authorities in Germany have arrested suspects following separate arson incidents involving vehicles.

In late September, a 57-year-old truck driver was arrested in connection with the intentional burning of four parked trucks at a parking area near Hagen im Bremischen. The incident caused approximately 80,000 euros in damages, though no injuries were reported. The suspect, who had initially reported the fires himself, was taken into custody following an investigation by Cuxhaven police.

In a separate incident in Munich, a 34-year-old Hungarian national was arrested after a suspected arson attack in an underground parking garage in the Moosach district. The fire, which occurred on a Monday evening around 8:40 PM on Hanauer Straße, destroyed one vehicle and caused significant damage to approximately ten others and the garage structure, with damages estimated in the mid-six-figure range.

Recent reports indicate a broader series of fire-related incidents and investigations across Germany. In Munich, a 21-year-old former firefighter is facing trial for allegedly setting four fires to experience being “first on the scene.” In Kempten, an underground garage fire destroyed eight vehicles, resulting in seven-figure damages and the evacuation of 35 residents. Other notable incidents include a suspected arson at a hotel in Aschheim that led to the evacuation of 130 guests, a series of vehicle arsons in Halle-Silberhöhe, and a warehouse fire in Duisburg that caused railway closures.
