In late September 2026, the Alcoy City Council announced two competitions to commemorate the Annual Act of European Funds. The ‘Miradas que transforman Alcoy’ photography contest was opened to Spanish residents, with a 1,000 euro Honor Prize available for the best collection, though the council specified that “images generated by artificial intelligence will not be accepted”. Additionally, the ‘Europa dibuja Alcoy’ drawing contest was established for 5th-grade primary students to illustrate the impact of European Union collaboration on the city.

By mid-October, art activities in the region expanded to include exhibitions such as ‘El poder de l’art’ at the Aldemar Municipal School of Fine Arts in Alcoi. This biennial exhibition, marking the school’s 65th anniversary, showcases works ranging from sculpture to painting created between 2024 and 2026.
