Artistic projects in Istanbul are currently exploring the city’s historical and architectural identity through various mediums.

Ebru artist Hikmet Barutçugil has opened an exhibition titled “Suyun Hafızasında İstanbul” (Istanbul in the Memory of Water) at the Gazi Osmanpaşa Mansion. The collection features 47 works using his “Barut Ebrusu” technique to interpret the city’s cultural fabric and changing urban texture.

Simultaneously, pianist and composer Büşra Kayıkçı has launched the “Beyond Walls-Istanbul” project. This musical initiative translates the atmosphere of iconic structures, such as the Grand Bazaar and SALT Galata, into original compositions that blend acoustic piano with electronic textures and field recordings.
