In late July, Zubía distributed pest-prevention kits to dairy producers in the Altavista community to combat the livestock pest known as the ‘gusano barrenador’. This effort, supported by Governor Maru Campos Galván and the Secretariat of Rural Development, aimed to protect herds and the regional dairy economy.

By late August, the focus of Zubía’s outreach expanded to include environmental and educational support in the Abraham González neighborhood. This initiative involved the distribution of fruit and ornamental trees for reforestation, alongside school supplies to assist families with back-to-school expenses. Zubía reported that approximately 3,000 trees have been distributed across several colonies in the municipality to date.
