The transfer negotiations between AS Roma and Chelsea regarding midfielder Manu Koné have concluded without a completed move. 

Reports indicate that Chelsea reached an agreement with AS Roma for a deal worth approximately £60 million, following consultations between Chelsea manager Xabi Alonso and Kylian Mbappe. While personal terms were agreed upon with the 25-year-old French international, the transfer collapsed because Roma was unable to secure a replacement, failing in pursuits of Youssouf Fofana and Pierre-Emile Hojbjerg. 

AS Roma sporting director Tony D'Amico later clarified that while there were “informative contacts” with Chelsea during the final day of the market, the club received no official offers. D'Amico also addressed other failed or completed movements, including a failed deal for Luiz Henrique and Zeki Celik’s move to Juventus.
