In October 2026, the Diocesan Museum in Freising, Germany, opened the exhibition ‘SOS – Save Our Souls. Art, faith and identity between the Sibillini and the Adriatic’. The showcase features twenty works from the 13th to the early 17th century, including the ‘Pala di San Vittore’ by Cola dell’amatrice. The exhibition aims to present the cultural identity of the Sibillini territories and the provinces of Ascoli Piceno, Fermo, and Macerata while highlighting restoration efforts following regional seismic events. Following this, the city of Ascoli Piceno scheduled a free guided tour for October 31 titled ‘Ascoli: i francescani e gli altri ordini religiosi’. Part of the ‘SSC – Social Smart City’ project, the tour focuses on the history, art, and social contributions of religious orders, specifically the Franciscan presence, in shaping the city’s local identity. ## Timeline ### 2026-10-28: Ascoli Piceno to host guided tour of religious orders Ascoli Piceno will host a free guided tour on October 31 exploring the history and cultural impact of Franciscan and other religious orders in the city. 4 sources. https://clstr.news/cluster/ascoli-piceno-to-host-guided-tour-of-religious-orders ### 2026-10-18: Ascoli Piceno art exhibition opens in Freising, Germany An art exhibition featuring historical works from Italy's Ascoli Piceno, Fermo, and Macerata regions has opened at the Diocesan Museum in Freising, Germany, running through March 2027. 2 sources. https://clstr.news/cluster/ascoli-piceno-art-exhibition-opens-in-freising-germany --- Cite as: Ascoli Piceno cultural and religious heritage initiatives.
