The reality television competition Asia Express has seen several contestants eliminated during high-stakes races.

Anita Deutsch and Csilla Csomor were the first participants to be eliminated after arriving last at a destination following intense physical and mental challenges. Csilla Csomor attributed their exit to rushing their performance, while Anita Deutsch noted that being eliminated in such a competitive field was not a source of shame.

Later in the competition, Mirela Retegan and her daughter, Maya, were eliminated following a race on the Silk Road. Their exit occurred after other teams, such as Maurice Munteanu and Connie Preda, recovered to finish first. Additionally, competitors Valerie Lungu and Alex Gîlcă received a 30-minute penalty for using an English command, which contributed to Retegan and Maya finishing last. Retegan expressed regret for being the ‘weak link’ in the team, while Maya described the experience as ‘bittersweet’.
