ASM Clermont Auvergne is undergoing organizational and coaching restructuring across its rugby programs to pursue new titles and long-term strategic goals.

In the women’s rugby division, ASM Rugby Féminin has expanded its coaching staff for the upcoming season. Manager-coach Greg Besombes has introduced specialized coaches for backs and forwards, along with a physical trainer, to bridge the gap between the youth academy and the Elite 1 team.

In the men’s sporting leadership, the club announced a reorganization aimed at initiating a new competitive cycle. Joe El-Abd, currently a defense coach for the England national team, is scheduled to become head coach following the 2027 Rugby World Cup. Concurrently, Christophe Urios will transition from sporting manager to a broader role as sporting director and head of the ‘OneASM’ project, focusing on recruitment and institutional strategy.
