Developments: 2. Asmel has initiated its 2026 Maxi Avviso, a large-scale recruitment program designed to create and update lists of eligible candidates for various positions within Italian local government entities. The initiative covers 39 different professional profiles, ranging from administrative and technical-maintenance staff to highly specialized roles such as lawyers, engineers, and social workers. The recruitment process offers flexibility regarding educational requirements; for certain roles, completing compulsory schooling is sufficient in place of a high school diploma, depending on historical education laws and specific certifications. Additionally, the notice specifies that there is no maximum age limit for applicants, provided they meet the necessary role-specific criteria. Applications for these municipal positions are to be submitted through the Asmelab platform, with a deadline of 12:00 PM on September 30, 2026. In the Puglia region, the program is expected to involve 212 member municipalities, covering approximately 83% of the local authorities. ## Timeline ### 2026-09-22: Italy announces major public sector recruitment and training initiatives Italy announces major employment opportunities, including ASMEL's local government recruitment for 39 profiles without age limits, Tper's free bus driver training, and new pathways for Romanian-trained nurses. 11 sources. https://clstr.news/cluster/asmel-launches-2026-recruitment-notice-for-italian-local-entities ### 2026-09-08: Asmel announces large-scale municipal recruitment drive Asmel has announced its 5th Maxi Avviso, offering 39 professional profiles for municipal roles in Italy, ranging from manual labor to high-level officials, with applications open in September 2026. 2 sources. https://clstr.news/cluster/asmel-announces-large-scale-municipal-recruitment-drive --- Cite as: Asmel municipal recruitment in Italy.
