ASUS Republic of Gamers (ROG) has introduced the ROG Gjallar, a gaming soundbar designed for immersive spatial audio. The device features up-firing speakers compatible with Dolby Atmos to simulate overhead sound, alongside full-range speakers and tweeters.

The hardware includes a 6.5-inch wireless subwoofer connected via a low-latency 5GHz connection and a control hub. Connectivity options include HDMI 2.1 (eARC) with 4K/120Hz pass-through, USB-C, optical digital, 3.5mm AUX, and Bluetooth 5.3. The control hub features an LCD display for managing volume, EQ settings, input sources, and RGB lighting, and includes a beamforming microphone with Acoustic Echo Cancellation.

While the system is intended as a desktop audio solution for users who prefer not to use headsets, initial reviews have noted strong sound quality but criticized the boxy design, lack of customization for the control hub, and ineffective built-in microphones.
