Swedish melodic death metal band At The Gates released an animated film to accompany their studio album, ‘The Ghost of a Future Dead’. Created by longtime collaborator Costin Chioreanu, the visual project serves as a tribute to the band’s longtime vocalist, Tomas Lindberg, who passed away in September 2025.

Chioreanu described the work as a ‘monument’ to Lindberg, intended to provide a visual narrative that complements the album’s music and lyrics. The album, released in April 2026 via Century Media Records, contains recordings made prior to Lindberg’s death following his 2023 cancer diagnosis. The production and mixing were led by Jens Bogren at Fascination Street Studios.
