Athletic Club is preparing for the Euskal Herria Txapela final against Real Sociedad. Initial preparations included training sessions at Lezama, where Bilbao Athletic midfielder Javi Sola joined the first-team session under manager Edin Terzić.

Following these preparations, manager Edin Terzić announced a 22-player squad for the final at Anoeta. The roster features key players such as Unai Simón, Iñaki Williams, and Oihan Sancet, and marks the return of Dani Vivian following medical clearance for an adductor injury. Due to the FIFA international break, the clubs are unable to use players called up for Nations League duty. The upcoming match follows a season where both clubs earned the most points in derbies.
