The initial incident involved two unidentified men using Molotov cocktails to launch an arson attack on a cafe in Agios Panteleimonas. While staff managed to contain the fire with extinguishers, no injuries were reported.

Subsequent attacks in Athens escalated in complexity and frequency. These included a Molotov cocktail attack on a bakery in Kallithea and two grenade explosions in the Omonoia and Agios Panteleimonas districts. In these later incidents, assailants reportedly used manhole covers to break windows before throwing explosives inside. While no injuries were reported, the attacks caused significant material damage. Authorities are investigating whether these incidents are linked or constitute an extortion attempt.
